Farm Inspiration Trust
The Farm Inspiration Trust (FIT) believes that farms and farming have a lot more to offer local communities than simply the production of our food. Farms offer a space where people can learn and develop in an outdoor, open environment.
FIT currently runs two programmes on FAI (Food Animal Initiative) Farms in Wytham, 5 miles from the centre of Oxford:
- FarmAbility is a day service for adults with autism and learning disabilities
- Outdoor Classroom provides educational visits to the farm for school children
If you are interested in finding out more about their work, or partnering with them, please get in touch with them.

Directions:There is no public transport to the farm; the closest bus stop is on Home Close in Wolvercote (#6), about 2 miles from the farm. The farm is at the end of a tarmac drive, which is a sharp turn off the main Wytham village road – it’s signposted to the University Field Station and Village Hall. The main farmyard entrance is just past the large white building on your left (the Field Station). There is ample parking.
